We've saved a few of our favorite pictures as larger files and higher resolutions, perfect for printing or using as a backdrop on your computer screen. Select the original file for printing, or select the size in the rightmost columns to download a smaller picture suitable for your desktop. To load a file onto your screen wallpaper or backdrop, first view the file you want by selecting the file size link. If you don't know which size you need, pick 1600x1200. After the file loads, right click in the window and select "Set as backdrop" (Internet Explorer) or "Set as Wallpaper" (Netscape or Firefox).

Panoramas

Panoramas are several pictures that have been stitched together. They are spectacular wide-angle views that are hard to achieve with a single photo. Select a thumbnail below in the file column to view the file. You may wish to print a copy or use it as background wallpaper on your computer. To save space, most pictures have been downsized to at most 1600 pixels tall and saved at a reduced quality. They will make fine small sized prints, though you may want the originals if you want to print at 8x10 or larger. Many of the originals are 50-100 mega pixels in size. In this case, please contact the owner for a copy.

The dimensions describe the size of the picture in number of pixels, Width x Height. The AR or Aspect Ration is the width divided by the height. The larger the number, the wider the picture is. The rating is 1-5 stars (*), with ***** being our best pictures. They're rated by the owner.

We've taken several short video clips. Video is a great way to show a landscape, capture the sounds of wildlife, and the merriment of friends. Each of these video clips is short in length, and has been saved as a windows .wmv file. You should be able to stream play the file without having to download the whole thing before watching it. The videos are either 640x480 or 320x240. Note these files are large and may slow down your internet connection a bit while playing. We may remove them from our web site after a few weeks to avoid running out of space.
